Thank you for reaching out. I believe that the 1 7/16ths size will be what you need. The vast majority of the 1970 models used the smaller size, which is what is included in this kit. If you need the 1 1/2" size, you wouldn't know it until you went to install them. If we need to send you the larger size later. We are happy to do that.
